There can be lots of offers but to our way of thinking if a product has an extended warranty promotion all you should have to produce is your invoice, however sadly more often than not you do have to claim the warranty within so many days of purchase or they won't honour it.

The reasons seems to be....

A.  It can be messy so people give up/don't bother or just forget to do it
 - it looks good as an offer but can save the brand money if people don't claim it - especially if the product does develop a fault

B.  Data collection - ensure you tick or untick to stop your details being used for unwanted marketing
